Devon and Jake met in 2020, in the middle of the pandemic and at the start of their respective residencies. They immediately bonded over margaritas and the misery of being a surgery intern. As many love stories go, theirs started as "just friends" and then after some homemade margaritas and a tipsy game of operation (cliche, we're aware) it was obvious that they both felt a little more than just friendship brewing.

As in any relationship, meeting the family came soon after and the one Jake had to impress most was... Beezus, Devon's senior French Bulldog that notoriously hates new people. Without her approval Jake would have been doomed. Luckily B and Jake became besties in no time and Devon even started getting a little jealous.

Over the next three and a half years there were many trips shared together, birthdays celebrated, family holidays attended, and consults called back and forth to each other. Devon took Jake on his first European vacation and Jake forced Devon to attend her first Packers game.

Then on February 14, 2024 after a long day at the hospital Jake decided he couldn't wait any longer and asked Devon to marry him on their back porch while they were both in scrubs. Don't worry, he asked B's permission first.

Now, we can't wait to celebrate with all of our closest family and friends in the most magic place we could think of. We hope to see you all in Italy so soon and cheers to the best love we could have imagined!
